PROSON

This particular Fender Prosonic was made in 1997 and has all original parts. The 60W Prosonic with two 10” custom Celestion speakers was designed by tone legend Bruce Zinky and has some similar features as a Mesa / BOOGIE amp. This amp can go from classic sparkling Fender cleans all the way to classic hard rock grind. Some say this may be one of the best Fender amps ever made. But we’ll let the captures do the talking!

MICS & PREAMP

I made a custom head cabinet for the amp portion of this all original 2X10 combo amp so that I could effectively place the cab in another room while capturing for the purest and easiest way to dial in tone. The 2X10 combo cab is all original and holds the original Celestion made custom shop speakers voiced for this amp. Though I label them “G10V” in the description, they’re a custom shop model and it’s unclear if they’re the same as the G10V you can purchase off the shelf.

For these captures I used a single Shure 545 placed traditionally in between the center and the edge of the speaker.

- TS PROSON 1 - G10V - EQ
  - This takes my original capture and just adds some EQ to take away some lows and mids. There’s a similar preset for the AC30 that this pairs well with.
  - Only available for ToneX as it’s not a unique capture, but simply a preset with EQ applied. You can apply the same kind of EQ in the QC if you’d like. Simply lower the Bass to -3 or -4 and the Mids to -1 or -2.
